As the title says yes SharePoint 2013 Cannot be installed on Windows 7. We did not expected this since in SharePoint 2010 the whole selling picth was around installing Sharepoint 2010 on windows 7 (for quick testing and developing).

A lot of people inculding me loved this feature but I guess in SharePoint 2013 Mirosoft didn't get time to test this on Windows 7. Its still beta so I am hoping they add this when they release the final version.

DB requirements for SharePoint 2013 Preview is "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (Service Pack 1) 64bit or Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (64bit)
